Education

Mamadêlê Foundation offers a comprehensive arts-in-education program that includes residencylecture-demonstrations, workshops and family programs. These are comprised of Afro-Brazilian percussion, dance and martial arts programs that weave geography, social studies, history and religion into the curriculum.

Since its inception, Mamadêlê has offered arts-in-education programs on the music, dance and martial arts of Brazil throughout the United States. The arts education services that we provide are tailored to the unique needs of each school and the needs of specific student populations. Our programs serve early childhood (Pre-K through 2nd grade), elementary, middle and high schools students as well as college and general audiences.
